1. 개요

샘 쿡 사후 발매된 컴필레이션 앨범으로, 올뮤직 등에게서 좋은 평가를 받았다.

2. 상세

2003년 6월 17일 발매된 컴필레이션 앨범이다. 샘 쿡의 대표곡들 대부분이 수록돼 있다.

올뮤직은 이 앨범에 대해 1986년 2월 발매된 같은 컴필레이션 앨범 'The Man and His Music'보다 높게 평가했으나, 샘 쿡의 대표곡이라 할 수 있는 'That's Heaven to Me'와 'Soothe Me'가 비수록된 것엔 아쉬움을 드러냈다.[1] BBC에선 사실상 만점의 평가를 내렸다.[2]

마지막 31번째 트랙, Soul (Hidden Track)은 인터뷰를 그대로 녹음한 것이다.

그냥 'Portrait of a Legend'로도 불린다.
