1. 개요
2013년 4월 5일 발매된 미국의 록 밴드 파라모어의 4집 정규 음반. 조시 패로(Josh Farro)와 잭 패로(Zac Farro)가 떠난 이후 3인조 체제로 낸 첫번째 음반이며, 파라모어의 음악 성향이 바뀌기 시작한 앨범이기도 하다. 또한 베이시스트 제레미 데이비스(Jeremy Davis)가 참여한 마지막 앨범이기도 하며, 이 앨범 이후 잭 패로가 파라모어로 돌아오면서 잭 패로가 참여하지 않은 유일한 파라모어 앨범이 되었다.2010년 밴드와의 갈등으로 잭, 조시 패로 형제가 탈퇴하게 되면서 해체설이 나돌았으나, 2012년 네번째 앨범 작업 중을 알린다. 보컬 헤일리 윌리엄스는 롤링 스톤과의 인터뷰에서 "Brand New Eyes 이후로 많은 과정을 거쳐야 했기 때문에 감정적으로 힘들었으며, 이후 우리의 음악적 방향을 '우리가 즐길 수 있는 것'으로 잡게 되었다"라고 인터뷰한 바 있다.
그래서인지는 모르겠지만, 앨법의 곡 중 하나인 ‘Ain't It Fun’은 해석하면 말 그대로 ‘재밌지 않니?’라는 뜻을 가지고 있다. 이 곡의 뮤직비디오에서는 세계 신기록을 수립해보자는 주제로 여러 가지 기행을 보여주는데, 여기에서도 이 그룹의 똘기(?)를 여실히 맛볼 수 있다.

발매 이후에는 기존의 펑크 록 장르에서 신스 요소가 가미된 팝 록 스타일로 바뀌었기 때문에 호불호가 많이 갈렸다. 예전의 파라모어를 기대하던 팬들은 실망감을 감추지 못했지만, 밴드의 암흑기에서 "즐기기" 위해 쓰인 새로운 요소들은 많은 평론가들의 귀를 충족시켜주었다. 음악적인 스타일을 완전히 바꾸었음에도 불구하고 앨범의 내용, 음악적인 색깔이 분명했기 때문에 최고의 2013년 록 앨범 중 하나로 손꼽는 매체도 많았으며, 이는 대표적인 음악 스타일 변화가 성공한 사례로도 뽑히게 된다.
