1. 개요

맥라렌 MCL38은 맥라렌 F1 팀이 2024 시즌 포뮬러 1에 참가하는 레이스 카이다. 섀시명은 본래 지난 시즌 그동안의 전례에 따라 MCL37로 정해져야 했지만 브루스 맥라렌이 팀을 창단한 이래 60주년을 맞는 해 임을 기념하여 MCL60으로 정해진 이름에 이어서 MCL38로 다시 이름을 잇게 되었다. 팬들은 이전 시즌에 사용했던 푸른색의 포인트를 없앤 점을 칭찬하는 중.
작년 차량인 MCL60의 시즌 초반 꼴지에 가까운 암울한 출발과는 다르게 MCL38은 시즌 초반부터 좋은 모습을 보여주며 5라운드 중국 그랑프리 시점에서는 포디움 2회와 함께 3위를 기록중이다. 이후 마이애미에서는 랜도의 첫 승과 함께 차량 첫 승리를 기록했다!
