미국의 데스 메탈 밴드 Morbid Angel 의 데뷔 음반.예전엔 데스 메탈, 스피드 메탈, 스래시 메탈 간의 뚜렷한 구분이 없었다. 오로지 "빡센 메탈"만이 있었다. 하지만 이 음반은 사람들의 눈을 뜨게 해주었고, 우리들이 뭔가 새로운 움직임이 일어나고 있었음을 깨닫게 해주었다. 모두가 이 레코드를 샀고, 스래시 메탈은 이 음반에 의해 처형당했다. 그 장르 자체가 그냥 사라져버렸다. Robban Becirovic, Close-Up Magazine -
