Takedown을 역이용해 헌트릭스를 끌어내리고 올해의 아이돌 어워드를 수상하는 데 성공한 사자 보이즈가 혼문을 완전히 무너뜨리고 귀마를 인간 세상에 강림시키기 위해 남산타워 콘서트장에서 부른 신곡. 이때부터 인간으로 위장하던 사자 보이즈 멤버들이 악령으로서의 본모습과 능력을 본격적으로 드러내기 시작한다.[3]

네 죄를 사랑해 줄 사람은 나뿐이고, 내게 마음을 줬으니 이젠 영혼도 내놓으라고 하거나 내 일부가 되라고 하거나, 처음엔 자기가 구하러 왔다고 하다가 후렴에는 그 누구도 널 구해주러 오지 않는다는 등, Soda Pop 보다 더 노골적으로 널 잡아먹겠다고 말하는 듯한 가사가 일품이다.

본색을 드러낸 만큼 사자 보이즈도 순간이동이나 공중부양 같은 악령의 능력을 거리낌 없이 사용하며 무대를 장악하고, 콘서트가 진행되면서 무대에서 불꽃이 터져나오다 하나로 뭉치며 결국 귀마의 본체가 강림하게 된다. 이 불꽃이 터져나오는 모습이 무대 효과처럼 보이기 때문에 "직접 무대연출하시는 사장님" / "부하의 일을 적극적으로 도와주는 모범적인 상사" / "귀마도 사실 이 무대를 즐기던 게 아니냐"(...)라는 농담 섞인 해석이 나오기도 한다.[4][5]

노래 제목이자 가사 중에 반복 등장하는 'Your Idol'은 동아시아 지역에서 토착화된 연예인의 동의어 아이돌의 의미와 아이돌의 원래 의미인 종교적으로 숭배받는 우상(idolum)이라는 의미를 동시에 띈다. 아브라함 계통의 종교에서 터부시됨을 넘어서 악마적 위치에 놓이는 그 '우상'의 의미를 의도적으로 담았음을 작중 설정상 사자보이즈와 이 노래의 역할을 보면 알 수 있다.

작사에 참여한 EJAE가 포브스 인터뷰에서 노래 비화를 밝혔는데, 모티브가 된 곡은 EXO의 MAMA, Obsession으로 THEBLACKLABEL과 Ian Eisendrath이 협업한 비트를 받아서 KUSH, Vince와 함께 가사 작업을 시작했다고 한다. 가사 중 "네 죄마저도 사랑할 자는 나 뿐인걸(I 'm the only one who'll love your sins)"부분은 EJAE의 SM 연습생 시절의 자전적 일화에서 따온 것으로, 연습생으로 회사 사옥에서 나오던 중 연습생들에게 일부 몰상식한 팬들이 쓰레기를 던지며 행패를 부리고 '오빠들에게 집적대지 마라'라는 폭언을 들은 경험에서 비롯된 것이다. 그녀는 이를 기억하며 가사를 쓰면서 아이돌 문화의 기괴하고 어두운 부분마저 함께 담고 싶었다고 이야기했다.

Your Idol이 바이럴되기 시작할 때 영미권의 가장 큰 가사 제공 사이트인 Genius에서 잘못된 한국어 부분 가사를 제공했었다. 이것이 유튜브나 틱톡 등지에 퍼지면서 한국어 부분 가사 오류가 퍼지는데 일조했다.##[15]

수정 전 공식 영상 설명도 수정 전 Genius의 가사 오류를 그대로 복사했는지 '나를 왜 넌 존재하는 아이돌'이라는 해괴한 가사 오류가 있었다. 심지어 수정 후에도 아이'들'을 아이'돌'로 남겨 두었다가, 이후 재수정되었다.[17] 단, 여전히 '존재 하는'에 띄어쓰기 오류가 있다.

많은 한국인들이 오류를 파악하고 Genius에서 가사를 똑바로 수정했지만, 기존 사이트 사용자들이 해당 행위를 테러로 인식하여 엉터리 가사로 롤백하고 한국인의 계정이 타임락되는 웃지 못할 참사가 발생했다. 그렇게 잘못된 가사가 Spotify 및 기타 메이저 플랫폼까지 번진 것. 클레임이 계속해서 들어왔는지 현재는 대부분의 공식 플랫폼에서 올바른 가사를 사용한다. 단 초창기에 제작된 2차 창작물에서는 잘못된 가사가 여전히 등장하고, 또 재생산되는 중이다.[18]

테디 사단의 THEBLACKLABEL 작곡 & 프로듀서들이 대거 참여했다.
Soda Pop과는 완전히 다른 다크 컨셉의 묵직한 비트 댄스곡. 1집에서는 귀여운 컨셉으로 나와 대중적인 인기를 끌었다가, 2집에서 다크 컨셉으로 대중적인 팬들을 깊은 광팬으로 만드는 아이돌 업계의 전략을 떠올리게 한다. 현재는 원본 트윗을 확인할 수 없으나, 감독 매기 강에 따르면 H.O.T.가 행복에서 We are the Future로 넘어가는 모습을 참고했다고 한다.
곡 공개 후 초반 미국 Spotify 차트에서의 반응은 Golden 보다도 더 좋은 편이였다. 2025년 7월 4일 스포티파이 메인차트인 데일리 톱 송에서는 놀랍게도 1위를 차지하는 기염을 토했다. 이는 K-pop 장르의 아이돌 곡 중 그룹으로는 사상 최초로 달성한 기록으로 종전 최고 기록은 방탄소년단의 'Dynamite'(3위)가 최고 기록이었다.[38] 한국 시청자들에게 이 곡은 한국 남돌판 클리셰에 가까운 퇴폐 섹시 테마를 잘 구현한 정도로 보는 데 비해, 미국 시청자들은 이 곡을 한동안 등장하지 않았던 강렬한 빌런 송으로 인식해서 더 좋게 보는 경향이 있다.[39]
안무 중 모자의 챙 끝을 손가락으로 쓸어내리는 모습이 있는데, 한국 무용가 사이에서 속칭 '이슬털기'라고 불리는 동작이다.# 또한 애비가 'I can be your sanctuary'라고 노래할 때 갓끈을 당기는 퍼포먼스와 더불어 지금껏 한국 전통 무용에 없던 동작들로서 케데헌을 감상한 전통 무용가가 극찬한 부분이다. 실수로 손가락이 갓끈에 걸리는 것이 아닌 일부러 멋스럽게 사용하는 것은 나중에 본인이 활용해 봐야겠다고 할 정도.
헌트릭스 곡만큼의 흥행을 예상하지 못했던 것인지 열화와 같은 요청 속에도 공식 편집 영상이 상당히 늦게 올라 왔으며, 이마저도 급조한 것인지 타 곡과 달리 리릭 비디오, 풀 버전이 아니다. 애니메이션 내에서 나온 2분 남짓의 영상을 그대로 편집해 올렸으며, 풀 버전과 비교하면 노래의 전주와 간주, 랩 파트를 제외한 2절 분량이 잘려있다. ~~팬들 환호성도 안짤랐다~~
헌트릭스의 곡 Golden의 가창 난이도에 가려져 별로 부각되진 않지만, 이 곡도 가창 난이도가 상당한 편에 속한다. 곡의 템포도 상당히 빠른 데다 음역대도 굉장히 높다. 최고음은 가사상 "No one is coming to save you" 부분의 음 꺾기에서 나오는 3옥타브 미(E5)이며, 이 부분을 제외하고 보더라도 2옥타브 시(B4)가 심심하면 나오는 데다 마지막 후렴구에서는 3옥타브 도(C5)도 2번[40] 나온다. 여성이라 해도 고음을 어려워하는 편이거나, 남성이라면 꽤 어려울 수 있다.
특유의 사악한 느낌, 기독교권에서 쓰는 인용문을 상당수 정 반대로 써버리는 파격적인 신성모독성 가사[41], 근래 보기 드문 빌런의 서사를 담은 내용 때문인지 이런 주제를 매우 좋아하는 미국, 유럽의 메탈 뮤지션들이 이 곡을 자기 방식의 메탈 버전으로 편곡하는 영상이 많이 나오고 있다. 애초에 곡 자체가 팝을 기반으로 R&B, 힙합, 락 등 다양한 장르의 요소가 혼합된 곡으로, 곡 전체에 고조되는 비트와 명확한 멜로디 라인, 그리고 반복되는 후렴구가 일반적인 메탈곡의 진행과 일치해서 편곡이 매우 쉬워 악기만 추가하면 된다. 가사 역시 메탈 감성에 어울린다는 평이 많다. #
보컬 비중이 루미에 쏠려있는 헌트릭스의 Golden과 다르게 이 곡은 파트 분배가 굉장히 잘 되어있다.
넷플릭스에서 이 곡의 인기에 힘입어 헌티드 호텔(2025) 홍보 겸 패러디 영상을 제작했는데, 병맛 넘치는 뮤직 비디오와는 달리 대단한 장악력을 자랑한다. 성우의 녹음 장면도 있다.
