1. 개요
필리핀계 미국 출신의 일렉트로니카 아티스트이다. 본명은 숀 세라노(Shawn Serrano). 주로 Madeon과 비슷하게 매시업과 샘플링을 하여 곡을 만든다.일본풍인 사운드로 예전에는 US 덥스텝이나 컴플렉스트로 장르 계열을 매쉬업했으나 요즘에는 유튜브나 사운드클라우드에서 자주보이는 퓨처 베이스 성향으로 매쉬업을 한다. 또한 사운드가 초기에 비해 상당히 미니멀해졌다.
2. 특징
매쉬업 분야에서 런치패드를 사용하는 대부분의 아티스트들과 다르게 오락실 아케이드 버튼을 사용하는 미디 컨트롤러인 미디파이터를 사용한다. 초기에는 4x4 크기의 기본 제품을 사용했지만, 현재는 미디파이터의 제작사인 DJ Techtools에 부탁하여 8x8 크기의 커스텀 제품인 MIDI Fighter 64 Shawn Wasabi Edition을 사용하고 있다. 2016년 5월경에는 도난당해 원래 쓰던 커스텀 제품은 잃어버리고[1] 도난당한 후에는 4x4 버튼인 미디파이터 3D로 활동을 했다.그리고 2017년 2월 14일, 밸런타인데이에 신곡 SPICY BOYFRIEND를 유튜브에 업로드 하였다. 다시 미디파이터 64를 사용하기 시작했는데, 되찾은 것이 아닌 공식 출시된 모델이다. 자세히 보면 테두리 부분이 약간 줄어들고 둥글둥글해졌으며, USB 포트가 가운데로 위치가 바뀐 것을 확인할 수 있다.
DAW로는 Ableton Live를 사용한다.
유튜브에 게시된 곡의 제목들이 모두 음식과 관련이 있다.
노래 가사를 보면 중간중간에 한국어가 들어가기도 한다.(LOVE POTION의 둘, 셋, 넷)

Marble Soda 라이브 매시업. 제목의 마블 소다는 라무네이다. (위에 가타가나로 나와있다.) Shawn Wasabi를 대표하는 곡으로 무려 153종류의 샘플이 사용되었다.

위의 8*8 사이즈 커스텀 미디파이터와 맥북, 하드디스크 등을 도난당한후 콩만한 사이즈의 미디파이터로 만든 음악. 제목의 의미는 "네 달걀을 한 바구니에 모아 담지 말라"는 경구에서 따왔다. 가방 하나 안에 맥북, 세상에 단 하나뿐인 미디파이터 숀와사비 에디션, 지갑 등등... 전부 담아놨다가 가방 채로 도난당했었기 때문.[2]
