1. 개요
캐나다인 덥스텝 디제이, 프로듀서로 2008년 데뷔 이후 지금까지 단 한번의 장르 변경 없이 덥스텝 장르 음악을 작곡하고 있으며 2012년 덥스텝 장르의 대중화로 EDM씬을 휩쓸었던 Skrillex와 함께 덥스텝 장르의 유행을 견인했던 아티스트이다.영국형 덥스텝이 아닌 미국형 덥스텝을 가장 잘 보여주는 아티스트로 Skrillex보다 더 과할 정도로 워블 베이스를 사용하는 덥스텝 음악을 만드는 스타일을 가지고 있으며 2014년 이후로 EDM씬 내에서 덥스텝 장르가 주류 장르에서 내려왔음에도 꾸준하게 음악을 만들고 있으며 Skrillex 또한 지금은 덥스텝 음악을 만들지 않고 있기 때문에 2012년도 전후 덥스텝 뮤지션으로 활동 했던 사람 중에서는 유일하게 지금까지도 미국형 덥스텝 음악을 만들고 있다.[3]
또한 음악 스타일을 그대로 반영하듯이 투어 라이브 비주얼이 매우 화려한 편으로 거의 정신나갈 정도로 레이저와 시각효과를 때려 붓는다.

2. 여담
- Far Too Loud와의 합작 유닛 Destroid (지금은 해체됨) 명의로 Just Shapes & Beats에 Annihilate를 제공했다. 자세한 내용은 문서 참조.
[1] 2020년 본인이 설립한 레이블. 사실상 Rottun Recordings의 정신적 후속작이다.[2] 이후 같은 덥스텝 뮤지션인 Downlink와 펜듈럼의 드럼을 맡고 있는 KJ Sawka와 함께 라이브 밴드형 덥스텝 그룹 프로젝트인 Destroid를 결성했었다.[3] 제프 뿐만 아니라 같은 미국형 덥스텝 음악을 만드는 Datsik도 있었으나 2018년 3월, 성범죄를 저지른 것이 폭로되어 자체적으로 은퇴를 했고, 이후 2019년 12월 복귀 선언을 했지만 미국 또한 성범죄에 있어서 절대로 관대한 나라는 아니기에 과거와 같은 자리에 다시 올라올 가능성은 없다고 봐야한다.
