1. 개요

대한민국에서 시행하는 박람회. 군사 무기 분야의 멀티도메인 K-방산 전시회이다.
2014년부터 한국전시산업진흥회의 국제인증을 받아 KINTEX에서 개최한다.
2026년 KOTRA와 MOU를 체결하고 해외바이어 및 국가관 유치를 역할분담.

2. 특 징

주최사는 [[http://www.dxkorea.org/ko/dxkorea/organizer.asp|디펜스엑스포]라는 법인으로, 김성준 前 KOTRA 임원이 방위산업전 개최 및 운영을 위해 세운 특수목적 법인과 방위사업청 소관 사단법인 한국방위산업MICE협회가 대한민국방위산업전 조직위원회를 조직하였다. 2026년 부터 마인즈그라운드가 공동주관으로 참여하고, 대한민국 국방부, 외교통상부, 산업자원부, 대한민국 육군, 대한민국 해군,대한민국 공군,방위사업청, 국방과학연구소,국방기술품질원, 국방기술연구소, 한국방위산업진흥회 등 대한민국 국방부 유관, 산하 기관들이 후원을 한다.

행사는 2014년 제1회 행사 때부터 대한민국 경기도 고양시에 있는 KINTEX의 제2전시장에서 진행하였다. 기동 화력 시범은 경기도 파주시 육군종합훈련장에서 시행한다.

행사 이름은 Defense eXpo KOREA를 줄인 것이다. 행사 일정은 서울 ADEX와 마찬가지로 2년마다 짝수해 9월에 개최한다.[1]
K-방산의 지속 성장을 위해서는 정부는 물론 “대·중소기업이 수출 원팀으로 방산 생태계를 갖춰야”한다는 취지에서 K-방산 전시회인 ‘대한민국 방위산업전(DX KOREA 2026)을 2026년 9월 16일 KINTEX 에서 개최.

2026년 부터는 행사 규모를 250% 늘려 DX KOREA를 방산 대·중소기업의 수출 활로를 뚫는 한국의 WDS로 탈바꿈하겠다는 구상. K-방산 수출 강국으로 성장하는 발판을 만들기 위해 노력 중.

2026년 부터 지상군을 넘어 전 영역을 아우르는 종합 K-방산 전시회로 개최, DX KOREA 2026은 DSEI, 유로사토리 등 세계 유명 방산 전시회처럼 기존의 지상군 중심 전시회를 넘어, 미래 전장 환경이 육·해·공뿐 아니라 우주·사이버·전자기까지‘다영역’이 실시간으로 연결된 ‘연결형 전장’으로 변화하며, 다 영역작전(MDO)과 AI·무인·통합 지휘통제(JADC2/JADC2) 같은 혁신적인 시스템이 핵심 축이 되고 있으며 다영역 작전은 물리적 종심을 기준으로 전장을 구분하고, 무력 충돌 강도에 따라 지상·해상·공중·우주·사이버·전자기 영역을 최적화해 적의 중심을 동시에 공격하는 방식으로 설계되고 있다.

DX KOREA 2026은 육·해·공·우주·사이버 전 영역 무기체계를 포괄하는 방산 기업이 꼭 참석해야 하는 K-방산 종합 방산 전시회로 변화와 혁신을 선도하고 첫 단계로 국방부를 포함한 정부 관계 부처와 전 군(全軍)의 공식 후원 승인을 통해 방산 전시회의 공신력과 위상을 확고히 하고있다.

해외 바이어 유치와 수출·무역금융을 정부 기관과 연계하여 실질적인 성과를 지원
DX KOREA 2026은 단순 전시를 넘어 수출 성과로 이어지는 비즈니스 플랫폼을 지향하기 위하여 국방부는 물론 외교부·KOTRA와의 협업을 통해 외국 방산 기업, 해외 고위 군 관계자, 실질 구매력을 갖춘 해외 바이어를 집중적으로 유치할 계획이며 또한 방산 수출과 금융 지원은 구매국이 요구하는 다양한 ‘반대급부(수출 금융·기술 이전·현지 생산 등)를 사전에 충족해야 수주 성공의 핵심 변수로 작동하고 있어, 금융 지원이 더욱 중요해졌다. 무기거래는 GtoG 성격이 강하고 규모가 커서 구매국의 장기·저금리 금융 요구가 대규모화·패키지화되는 추세에 따라, 무역보험공사, 수출입은행, 방산공제조합이 참여해 수출 금융·무역 보험·방산 전용 금융·보증을 연계 지원함으로써, 상담-계약-금융 지원으로 이어지는 실질적인 지원을 할 수 있도록 범정부적으로 지원하고 있다.

DX KOREA 2026은 AI 중심의 미래 전장 변화와 방위산업의 방향성을 제시한다.
국방부·산업통상자원부·중소벤처기업부와의 협력을 통해 정책·기술·산업이 유기적으로 연결된 전시 구조를 구현할 계획이며 특히
AI 기반 전력지원 체계관을 중심으로 다음의 7개 테마관을 운영한다.

참가기업은 현재의 기술력은 물론, 미래 첨단전력 및 수출 확장 가능성까지를 포함한 K-방산의 위용을 효과적으로 제시하게 될 것이라고 한다.

2026년 박한기(41대 합참의장) 예비역 육군 대장과 권평오 전. KOTRA 사장이 조직위원장을 맡고 약 25명으로 구성된 국방, MICE, 홍보전문가로 조직위원회를 구성하였다.

대한민국 국방부와 협의를 거쳐서 초창기인 2014년부터 제1회 행사를 개최하였다. 밀덕들은 파주로 몰려가서 기동화력 시범을 보고, 일산신도시 킨텍스로 와서 무기전시회를 보는 투 트랙을 지속했다.

그러다가 2020년 코로나19로 인해 행사가 2개월 연기되어 11월에 개최된 바 있다. 그러다가 2022년에는 2022년 러시아의 우크라이나 침공으로 대한민국 방위산업에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 해외 31개국 VIP가 참석하였으며2022년 대한민국-폴란드 방산계약이 체결되면서 유명세를 띠게되었고, 대대적으로 행사 규모를 확장했다. 2022년 경기도 포천 승진훈련장에서 열린 화력시범에는 [[https://kookbang.dema.mil.kr/newsWeb/20221004/1/BBSMSTR_000000010053/view.do|해외 VIP 45개국과 약 2,000여명의 관람객이 찾았다.

한기호 위원장은 "그러면 육군협회가 자체행사로 하는 거냐"고 묻자, 엄동환 청장은 "육군협회가 중심이 돼서 육군이 협조해야하는 것으로 알고 있다"고 답했다.

한 위원장이 "그러면 육군이 협조 안해줘도 되는 거냐"는 질의에 "(육군이) 협조를 해줘야 된다는 구체적인 협약 등은 전혀 (없었다)"고 했다.

한 위원장은 "(방산)업체들에게서 계속 전화를 받고 있다. 육군협회가 장사하고 있다는 거다. 돈 남겨 장사하고 있어서 문제라는 것"이라며 "그렇다면 협조해주면 안된다"고 강조했다.

한 위원장은 이어 "예비역들이 모여서 돈벌이 하는 거냐. 제가 육군(육사 31기, 예.육군중장) 출신이라서 이 질의가 방송에 나가면 수도 없이 항의를 받겠지만, 그러나 이런 상태를 방치하면 안된다. 육군참모총장도 마찬가지"라고 질타했다.

그러면서 "(육군참모총장과 방사청창이) 육군협회에 계신 분들 후배이기 때문에 어쩔 수 없는 이런 상황까지 왔는지 모르겠지만, 소송까지 당하고 이게 얼마나 불명예스러운 짓이냐"면서 "부끄러운 줄 알아야한다"고 덧붙였다.
