1. 개요

DOORS의 맵들 중 버려진 창고을 배경으로 하는 맵이자 사실상 최초의 서브 플로어이다.[1]

아마도 백도어의 컨셉은 버려진 창고로 추정되며, 백도어 차원은 좀 불안정 것인지 진공상태의 바깥, 뚫려있는 천장등 불안정한 요소가 다수 존재한다.

4. 특징

플레이하기 위해서는 Detour 배지를 획득해야만 플레이기 가능하며 해당 배지가 없을 시 룸즈나 야외의 경우와는 다르게 다른 플레이어가 만든 출입구로도 진입이 불가능하다.

Detour 배지 획득 이후 백도어 출입구를 만들거나 로비에서 밖으로 나와서 우측으로 이동한 후 나오는 격자문을 들어가면 나오는 백도어 출입구로 들어가면 백도어에 진입할 수 있다.

원래는 이벤트 맵이었던 만큼 슈퍼 하드모드와 마찬가지로 로비에서 아무 조건 없이 진입할 수 있었으나 이후 패치로 정규 맵으로 편입이 되었고, 그에 따라 Detour 배지가 있어야만 진입할 수 있게 되어서 진입 난이도 또한 상승했다.[2]

참고로 이곳에선 룸즈와는 또다른 배경음이 들리는데, 스산하면서도 특유의 음산한 사운드가 시간제한이라는 조건과 맞물려 유저들의 심장을 쫄리게 하기도(...) 한다.[3]

백도어에 진입 시 'Around Back' 도전과제, 클리어 시 'Other Way Around'를 획득할 수 있다.

5. 입구

2024년 The Hunt: First Edition 이벤트 시작과 함께 추가되었다. 2024년 3월 15일부터 30일까지 로비 오른쪽에 있는 전용 엘리베이터를 통해 플레이할 수 있었다. 현재는 호텔 바깥에 있는 전용 문에서 플레이할 수 있다.

6. 시스템

직역하면 '뒷문'인 이름답게 -50번 방부터 시작하여 진행할수록 수가 점점 올라가는 시스템으로 50개의 방이 존재하며, 마지막 -1번 방에는 100골드로 구입할 수 있는 대용량 스타 포션과 호텔로 이동할 수 있는 0번 문이 존재한다.
-50번 방의 문을 열 경우 1분의 제한시간이 시작된다. 만약 제한시간을 초과할 경우 헤이스트라는 이름의 엔티티가 나타나며 게임오버된다.
-50번 방과 -1번 방 문을 열면 바로 레버가 있으며, 이후 방 문을 열 때마다 방 안에 일정 확률로 레버 1개가 있다. 레버를 내리면 남은 시간에 따라 제한시간이 30초 혹은 1분 추가된다.[5] 의외로 레버는 출현 빈도가 높다. 실수로 레버를 못 보고 놓치는 일이 없도록 성급하게 앞으로 가지 말고 방 전체를 빠르게 둘러본 뒤 가도록 하자. 이 레버들은 설정상 큐리어스 라이트가 설치한 것이다.

7. 진행

-50호: 백도어 시작점

게임 시작 시 뒷문이 열리고 일정 시간이 지날 시 플레이어가 내부로 들어가지며 뒷문이 저절로 닫힌다.
0.5층에 -50번 문과 열쇠가 있다
50번 문을 열려면 웅크려서 열쇠를 먹고 나와야 하는데 그게 호텔의 1번 방 문을 여는 방법과 상당히 유사하다.
창문을 자세히 보면 호텔의 0번방이 보인다.

-49호: 갈림길 방

해당 방에선 앞쪽에 시간레버가 확정적으로 나오게 된다.
-50번 방 이후에 해당 방이 나올 땐 뒷 쪽에 시간레버가 나오기도 하고 아예 안 나오기도 한다.

-48~ -2호

본격적으로 괴물들[6]과 함정들이 나오기 시작한다.

-1호: 호텔 입구

중앙에 별빛 병이 있는데 100골드에 구매할 수 있다.
-1층에 0번 문이 있는데 상호작용할 시 호텔로 가진다.

The Hunt를 통해 DOORS를 처음 유입되는 플레이어를 노렸기 때문인지 등장 괴물의 수가 적고 플레이타임도 짧으며 점프스케어의 수위도 비교적 낮다.[10] ~~헤이스트는?~~
백도어를 클리어하고 호텔의 0번 방으로 돌아갈 경우 정상적으로 룸즈 플레이 및 엔딩까지 보는 것이 가능하다. 그리고 이러한 시스템을 이용해 무려 1,143개[11]의 문을 통과하는 영상이 나왔다.[12] 이게 빨리 깨서 그렇지, 평균은 2시간 반 이상 걸린다.
THE BACKDOOR라는 이름에서 DOOR를 원작 게임 Rooms로 바꾸면 The Backrooms라는 이름이 되기에 분위기, 이름의 특성상 백룸을 패러디한 것으로 보인다.
이벤트 기간 동안에는 로비 우측의 파란색 배리어 너머에 있는 푸른빛이 나는 엘리베이터 4개 중 하나에 들어가면 백도어로 진입할 수 있었다.
백도어의 세계선은 불안정 한듯하다.[13]

[1] 실질적으로 따지자면 최초는 룸즈가 맞으나 룸즈는 기록 보관소 출시에 따라 서브 플로어 자리에서 강등될 예정이므로 앞으로 존재할 서브 플로어 중에서는 최초로 만들어졌다고 볼 수 있다.[2] 다만 도서관을 깰 실력이 있으면 그리 어렵지는 않다.[3] 시간 제한이 30초가 남았다면 배경음이 긴박해지고, 10초가 남았으면 헤이스트가 등장한다는 경고인 노이즈가 들리기 시작한다.[4] 입구는 로비 외부에 격자 문 내에 있고, 진입하기 위해서는 Detour(경로 이탈) 배지가 필요하다.[5] 시간이 1분 이상이면 30초 레버가 생성되며, 1분 미만이면 1분 레버가 생긴다.[6] 블리츠, 룩맨, 헤이스트[7] 백도어에서 얻을 수 있는 배지는 아니나, 백도어에 들어가기 위해 필요한 배지이기에 서술함.[8] 과거에는 도전과제 이름이 'The Hunt: Escape the BackDoor'였고, 로블록스 도전과제 확인창에서는 여전히 그 이름이다.[치트] 어드민 패널에서 치트를 써야만 소환이 가능하다.[10] 블리츠만 따져봐도 시간차 공격을 하는 러쉬와는 다르게 바로 약한 점프스케어를 한다.[11] 단순계산 상으로는 1,150개의 문을 통과하게 되지만, 실제로는 1,143개이다. 룸즈를 클리어하면 의무실로 이동되는데, 이때 스킵된 문이 7개 있기 때문. 예를 들어 룸즈로 들어간 방의 번호가 60번 방이었다면 A-1000을 통과하고 도착한 의무실의 방 번호가 67번 방이어서 스킵된 것.[12] 백도어의 맵을 클리어하고, 호텔의 60번 방에서 룸즈로 간 다음에 1,000개의 방을 통과하고 호텔 의무실로 돌아와서 100번방까지 가서 엘리베이터를 타고 엔딩을 본 것이다.[13] 공허로 이어지는 문이 있으며, 아예 바닥이 부서져 있어, 플레이어가 공허로 떨어지지 않게 누군가가 철창으로 막아 놓은 듯한 방도 있다.
