'Slide Away'는 2019년 8월 16일 발매된 마일리 사이러스의 싱글이다.
2. 배경
직전에 발매했던 EP SHE IS COMING에 비해 무거울 정도로 잠잠해진 분위기가 특징이다. 가사는 얼마 전 기사화된 약혼자 리암 헴스워스와의 결별을 담고 있다. 가사 곳곳에서 관련된 비유를 찾아볼 수 있다.사실 리암과의 이별 이후 서둘러 발매한 경향이 있다. 당장 Mother's Daughter가 발매된 지 두 달만에 앨범에 수록되지 않은 곡을 공개했을 뿐더러, 8월 26일 MTV VMA에서 이 노래를 공연했는데 마일리의 공연 사실이 무대 당일 날 갑자기 공개되기도 했다.[2]
