〈맨정신〉은 엠 카운트다운, 쇼! 음악중심, SBS 인기가요 모두 1위를 차지했었다. 총 3회 1위이다. 하지만 『MADE WORLD TOUR』 일정으로 인해 미활동으로 전 싱글 음반에 비해 음원 성적이 높지 않았었다.

펌프 잇 업 프라임 2 1.06.0 패치 업데이트로 펌프에 수록되었으며 사실상 빅뱅의 마지막 수록곡이다. 다만 일본 수출판에서는 수록이 되지 않은 곡이다. D14, D17에 '가랑이가 찢어져 자빠질 테니까'라는 가사 내용을 반영한 다리찢기가 있는 것이 특징이다. 그 때문에 실제 체감난이도는 각각 D18 이상(화면상에선 D14), D20 이상(화면상에선 D17)에 가깝다.

라이선스 만료로 인해 XX에서는 삭제되었다.

인터넷 등지로 관련 이슈가 빠르게 퍼져 나가고 있는데도 YG엔터테인먼트는 별 해명을 하지 않은 상태였다. 해당 동영상 업로더가 "표절이라 주장하는 것이 아니다" 라고 말하고 비교와 알 권리를 위해 업로드했다고 밝혔지만 해당 논란 동영상의 댓글란은 비슷하다 VS 별로 비슷하지 않다 & 코드 진행이 다르니 표절이 아니다로 갈려 싸움이 일어나고 있으며 극성 안티와 팬이 모여 전투를 벌이고 있다. 허핑턴포스트 코리아에서는 BPM과 키를 맞춰서 만든 영상을 게시했었다. (링크)

또한 논란이 된 부분의 바로 뒷소절이 Tritonal &Paris Blohm - 〈colors (ak9 Remix)〉 와 비슷하다는 새로운 의견도 존재했었다. 1분 59초부터 해당 부분이 나온다.

7. 기타

과거, 〈맨정신〉 뮤직 비디오를 촬영 할 때 꿈꾸는 듯한 몽롱한 분위기를 살리기 위해서 노력했다고 했었는데 『MADE WORLD TOUR』나 여러 프로그램 때문에 바빠서 뮤직비디오를 촬영 할 때 정말로 맨정신이 아니었다고 한다. 이 뮤직 비디오의 포인트라면 바로 대성의 드럼이다. 과거에 취미 생활로 시작한 드럼 연주를 뮤직 비디오에서 한 것이었다. BIGBANG의 다른 곡들도 마찬가지지만 상당히 에너지를 쏟아내는 무대이다. 그만큼 흥겹고 신나면서 모든 것을 잊을 만큼 정신을 놓는 무대이기도 하다.

〈맨정신〉 곡은 2013년에 작곡되었다고 했었다. "Without you" 브릿지(Bridge) 부분은 과거 2013년 11월 22일 엠넷 아시안 뮤직 어워드(MAMA)에서 〈삐딱하게〉를 라이브를 하기 전에 인트로로 나왔었던 시절이 있었다. 이후 2024 SBS 가요대전: Merry Music에서 다시 〈삐딱하게〉의 인트로로 사용되었다.

2019년 이후로는 노래 초반에 나오는 과거 전 멤버였던 승리가 부르는 파트의 일부분[5]이 온라인상에서 부정적인 의미로 재조명되고 우스갯소리로 쓰이고 있다.
