1. 개요
2009년 9월 8일 발매된 JAY-Z의 정규 11집이자 The Blueprint와 The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse에 이은 블루프린트 3부작의 마지막 앨범.2. 상세
첫 주에 47만 장이 팔리며 빌보드 200에서 1위로 데뷔하였고 현재까지 미국에서 190만장이 팔리면서 플래티넘 인증을 받았다.당시 핫했던 신인들인 Drake, J. Cole, Kid Cudi 등이 참여하여 화제를 모으기도 했다.
앨범의 프로듀서진은 Kanye West, Timbaland, No I.D.등의 명프로듀서들로 이루어져있다.
Swagga Like Us 나 Jockin' Jay-Z 같은 곡들도 수록될 예정이었으나 끝내 수록되지 못했다.

메타크리틱의 평점은 상업적이라 그런지 아주 좋지는 않았으나 대체로 좋은 평가를 받았다.
JAY-Z는 이 앨범에서 일반인들에게 JAY-Z하면 떠오르는 "Empire State Of Mind"[1]나 "Run This Town"[2]같은 대중적으로 인기를 끌 만한 곡들을 포함시켰고 그 결과 세련되고 현대적인 앨범이 탄생했다. 뉴욕 타임스의 존 카라미카는 이 앨범을 성숙함과 젊음의 조화라고 평가하며 JAY-Z의 래핑과 현대적인 사운드를 잘 접목했다는 호평을 했다. 대체적으로 대중적이지만 듣기 가벼운 트랙들로 모여있다는 쪽에서 호평을 받았다.
하지만 역시나 상업적인 앨범이라 그런지 팝컬러를 채우기 위한 지나친 노력이라는 평가도 받았다.
이 앨범의 4개의 싱글인 "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)", "Empire State Of Mind", "Run This Town", "On to the Next One"이 합쳐서 6개의 그래미 어워드를 수상한다.
