‘현대 대도시에 살고 있는 사람이라면 누구나 마음 한구석에 상처를 숨기고 살아가고 있다. 화려한 불빛의 정교하게 쌓아 올려진 빌딩 숲 아래에는 그림자에 몸을 숨기고 살아가는 이들이 있다. 그들만의 비밀스러운 가상의 클럽 <Club Icarus>에 모여 각자의 이야기를 쏟아낸다. 그래서 인트로의 곡 제목은 ‘Club for the Broken’. 상처받은 이들을 위한 클럽이라고 지어졌다.

타이틀곡 ‘Icarus’는 이카루스 신화처럼 상처를 받은 이들에게 새살이 돋아나길 바라며, 그 상처 위에 새로운 희망을 틔워내길 바라는 마음을 담고 있다. 정교하게 반복하는 피아노 라인 속에 서서히 쌓아 올려지는 리듬과 멜로디는 ARTMS가 K-POP에서 가장 미학적인 그룹이라는 것을 선언한다.

‘Obsessed’는 도시인들이 달고 사는 현대 질병 중 하나인 집착에 대해서 노래한다. 스트레스를 자꾸 음식이나 소비, 상대방에 대한 집착으로 해소하는 지금의 시대상에 대해 다룬다. 하지만 음악으로 담아낸 표현은 신경질적이거나 따갑지 않고 아름답기만 하다. 누군가에게는 질병일 수 있지만 사실 집착은 아름다운 본능이라는 듯이.

Lunar Theory 투어 중에 발매된 BURN 이후 공백기가 약 2개월로, ARTMS 컴백 중 최단 기간 컴백이다. 단, BURN은 음악 방송 등의 활동이 없는 선공개 곡에 가깝기 때문에 실질적인 공백기는 Dall 이후로 약 1년이다.[7]

뮤직비디오와 자켓 사진은 투어 진행 전에 이미 촬영을 마친 상태이다.

투어가 진행 중인 2025년 5월 4일, Amazon에서 예정보다 일찍 해당 앨범의 예약 구매 상품을 등록하며 의도치 않게 앨범명과 발매일, 앨범 사양 이미지까지 모두 유출됐다. 결국 이후 진솔이 Lunar Theory 에인트호번 공연에서 공식적으로 앨범명과 발매일을 알렸다.

2025년 5월 17일 20시 경, Club Icarus 웹사이트와 인스타그램이 공개되었다. 해당 웹사이트에 이메일을 등록한 사람을 대상으로 메일이 여러 차례 전송되었다. 첫 번째 메일에는 구글 폼 링크가 함께 왔으며, 해당 폼을 입력한 사람은 이후 Objekt D312Z를 받을 수 있었다.

지금까지 ARTMS의 실물 음반 크기는 154.5mm × 215mm로 모두 같았지만, 이번 앨범은 257mm × 203mm로 상당히 커졌다.

실물 음반 구성품 중에서 CD가 보관된 케이스의 뒷면에 인쇄된 트랙리스트가 실제 발매된 것과 다르다.[8] 다만 CD에 담긴 음원과 포토북 내 가사지는 실제 발매된 트랙과 일치한다. 음반 제작 과정과 동시에 Flash Your Wristband가 빠지고 인트로곡 Club for the Broken이 추가되며 순서가 바뀐 것으로 보인다.

4번 트랙 Goddess의 파트 분배는 멤버 희진이 했다.
