많은 사람들이 몇 세기에 걸쳐 여러 문명이 정착한 잠든 요새인 탈로스의 뒤틀린 깊은 곳에서 모험을 시도했습니다. 유로파는 친애하던 모든 것을 잃었고, 그 이후론 그녀가 다른 사람들은 이룰 수 없던 것들을 시도하는 데에 거리낌이 없습니다. 저주에 속박되기를 거부하는 고결한 전사로서, 그녀는 반드시 성에 들어가서 부패를 일으키는 근원을 찾고 세상에 색깔을 돌려줘야 합니다.

하지만 이 모험은 유로파가 홀로 마주해야 하는 모험이 아닙니다. 거인 안에서, 그녀는 색깔을 복원하는 마법을 부리며, 동료의 체력을 회복시켜주는, 떠다니는 귀여운 곰인 아피노와 친구가 됩니다. 그는 탈로스의 복도들을 떠돌아다니는 많은 위험으로부터 그의 동료들을 지켜줄 수 있습니다.

음악은 이 게임의 영혼, 그 자체입니다. 천재적인 작곡가 미치루 야마네(캐슬바니아 시리즈에서도 활동했죠)와 노리히코 히비노(메탈 기어 솔리드 시리즈)가 432헤르츠로 작곡한 부드러운 선율들은 물론, 미겔 헤이쓴이 작곡한 오리지널 사운드트랙을 들으며 세상에 다시 활기를 가져다 주세요. 이 게스트 작곡가들을 유로파의 퀘스트를 돕는 인게임 NPC들로 만나보세요.

멕시코의 게임 제작 회사 Halberd Studios에서 만든 메트로배니아 게임.
메트로배니아 답게 플레이어 캐릭터 강화를 위한 백트래킹 요소가 있긴 하나, 스토리만 진행한다면 백트래킹 요소가 매우 적어 흡사 스테이지 같은 구성을 띄고 있다.

4. 기타

  • 유저가 만든 XUnity.AutoTranslator 기반 한국어 패치가 존재한다. 링크
    게임 구버전을 기준으로 만들어진 패치이므로 패치 파일 내의 Patcher.exe 설치 파일로 설치하지 말고, 따로 최신 버전 XUnity.AutoTranslator를 다운받아 설치해줘야 한다.
