남아메리카 국가들 중 콜롬비아, 에콰도르, 페루, 볼리비아 4개국이 결성한 경제 공동체이다. 사무국은 페루의 수도 리마에 있다.
2. 역사
안데스 공동체는 1969년 5월 26일에 체결된 카르타헤나 협정을 바탕으로 콜롬비아, 에콰도르, 페루, 볼리비아, 칠레가 참가하면서 공식 출범한다. 여기에 1973년 베네수엘라가 안데스 공동체에 가입했지만 칠레는 같은 해 9월 11일에 쿠데타가 발생하면서 아우구스토 피노체트가 집권했고 이후 볼리비아와 태평양 해안 접근권 문제로 인해 공동체 내에서 볼리비아와의 외교 불화가 극심해지면서 1976년에 안데스 공동체로부터 탈퇴를 선언했다.1979년에는 사법재판소를 설립하여 1984년부터 운영되고 있으며, 안데스 의회도 같은 해에 출범했다. 그 외에도 1968년에 이미 설립된 라틴아메리카 개발은행이 1970년부터 안데스 공동체의 산하 기관으로 운영되고 있다. 베네수엘라는 2006년 우고 차베스가 안데스 공동체 탈퇴를 선언하여 현재 안데스 공동체의 정회원국은 콜롬비아, 에콰도르, 페루, 볼리비아의 4개국이다. 칠레는 같은 해에 준회원국으로 안데스 공동체에 복귀했다.
