3. 배경

• 전작 Adore의 일렉트로닉 사운드에서 벗어나, 밴드의 초기 사운드를 연상시키는 육중하고 거대한 록 사운드로의 회귀를 알린 곡이다. 특히 마약 문제로 해고되었던 드러머 지미 체임벌린의 복귀를 알리는 듯한 폭발적인 드러밍이 인상적이다.

• 앨범의 콘셉트 스토리에서, 록스타 '글래스(Glass)'와 그의 밴드 '갓의 기계들(The Machines of God)'의 등장을 알리는 역할을 한다. "You know I'm not dead(내가 죽지 않았다는 걸 알잖아)"라는 반복되는 가사는 전작의 상업적 실패 이후에도 밴드가 건재함을 선언하는 듯한 중의적인 의미를 담고 있다.
