도어즈의 2집 스튜디오 음반.2. 상세
빌보드 200에서 3위를 차지했으며, 영국에서는 그제까지 크게 히트한 싱글이 없어 차트에 오르지는 못했지만 상당한 판매 실적을 올렸다. 다만 전작이 발매 당시까지만 해도 계속 차트에 올라와있어 악영향을 받아 성적은 생각보다 별로였다고. 롤링 스톤 선정 500대 명반에서 409위를 차지하였다.1965~66년에 제작된 곡들이 주를 이루지만, <Moonlight Drive>, <My Eyes Have Seen You> 등, 릭 앤 더 레이븐스(Rick & The Ravens)[1]의 데모 테이프에서 녹음했던 곡들도 수록되어 있다. 사이키델릭, 블루스, 팝이 혼재하여 다양한 사운드를 만들어낸다.

4. 여담
- 1집의 앨범 커버를 굉장히 싫어했던 짐 모리슨은 자신의 문학적, 연극적, 영화적 재능을 살려 'Strange Days'라는 앨범명에 걸맞은 커버를 만들고자 했다. 본 앨범 커버는 뉴욕에서 촬영된 것으로 난쟁이, 차력사, 저글러, 곡예사, 트럼페터가 각자 재주를 부리고 있다. [3] 차력사 뒤쪽의 벽에 도어즈의 포스터가 붙어있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 그러나 이 앨범 이후 짐 모리슨이 마약, 알코올 등 여러 문제로 열정이 많이 줄어든 탓인지 이후의 앨범들은 그냥 멤버들의 사진으로 채워지게 된다.
