3. 배경

어릴 적 치어리더가 되고 싶었지만 자신감이 없어 도전하지 못했던 어린 시절의 꿈을 실현하기 위해 만든 곡이다. 관객들과 함께 소통하고 무대 위를 뛰어다니며 부를 수 있는, 단순하고 재미있는 응원가를 만들고 싶었다고 한다. 퀸이 영국 웸블리 스타디움에서 열린 라이브 에이드에서 "Radio Ga Ga"를 공연할 때 수많은 관중이 노래를 따라 부르는 모습을 보고 영감을 받았다고 밝혔다.

'Hot to go'는 갓 조리되어 뜨거운 상태로 테이크아웃할 수 있음을 뜻하는 패스트푸드식 표현과 섹시함과 성적 매력을 드러내는 의미가 겹친 중의적 말장난이다.

2024년 8월 1일, 시카고 롤라팔루자에서 약 11만 명으로 추산되는 페스티벌 역사상 최다 관중을 끌어모았으며 엄청난 관중 앞에서 선보인 HOT TO GO! 무대가 큰 화제가 되었다.

뮤직 비디오는 채플 론의 고향 미주리 주 스프링필드에서 촬영되었다. 초반에 등장해 춤을 배우는 노부부는 실제 그녀의 조부모님이다. 가족들은 본인의 성정체성과 노래의 의미에 대해 전혀 신경쓰지 않는다고 한다.
