기독교를 신랄하게 비판하는 곡으로, 제목인 Leper Messiar부터가 문둥이 구세주 정도의 뜻이다. 정확히는 신앙보다 물질적인 이익에 집착하는 타락해버린 목사들과 TV를 이용한 기독교 전도를 까는 곡이다.[1] 머스테인이 자신이 만든 리프라고 주장하자 밴드 측에선 부인했다.[2]제목인 Leper Messiar는 데이비드 보위의 앨범 The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars의 수록곡 Ziggy Stardust의 가사에서 따온 것이기도 하다. 관련 인터뷰
