1. 개요

도오자동차도(도오도, E5)의 나들목(37번[1])이다. 나들목 명칭은 소재지 미카사시의 명칭에서 유래하였다.

철도와 다소 떨어진 내륙쪽의 소도시 미카사시를 위해 설치된 나들목이다. 기능적으로는 여기에 더하여 이와미자와시의 북부 방향 교통 처리 목적을 겸하고 있기도 하다. 나들목이 설치된 일대는 오카야마(岡山)라 불리는 지구로, 이와미자와시에서도 오카야마초(岡山町)가 있고, 미카사시에서도 오카야마(岡山)가 있다.

전형적인 트럼펫형 나들목이며, 외부 접속은 평면교차의 형태로 직교 방향으로 116번 홋카이도도와 교차한다. 직진 방향으로는 생활도로(이면도로)로 연결된다. 접속되는 116번 홋카이도도를 통해 길게는 후라노시 등 카미카와 남부내륙과 삿포로시를 잇는 역할을 수행하기도 하기에, 연결되는 도시의 규모에 비해서는 교통량이 꽤 있는 나들목이다.
