1. 개요

WEBTOON에서 Míriam Bonastre Tur[2] 작가가 연재한 영어권 작품이다.[3] 2026년 5월 21일, 네이버 웹툰에도 한국 번역판이 공개되었다. 쌍둥이 남매 도리안과 다니엘라가 마법학교에 가는 버스를 놓치면서 시작하는 판타지 모험 이야기다.[4]

5. 평가

여러모로 말이 많다. 일단 로맨스가 포함이 되긴 한 판타지. 그래도 혹평보다는 호평이 더 많은 듯. 엔딩도 좋았고 성장 스토리로서 주인공들도 상당히 성장을 했다. 또 그림체도 귀엽다는 평이 많으며 단행본도 인기가 상당하다.

1. 다니와 니코의 서사 부족
주인공 4인방의 로맨스 서사가 부족하다는 평. 그래서 2차 창작에서 인기 소재인가? 하고 보니까 윌리엄과 데미안이 2차 창작에서는 제일 인기가 많다. (...) 그러나 확실히 다니의 후반 분량이 많이 적긴 하다. 물론 또 추가를 했다면 스토리가 너무 길게 늘어질 수도 있고 이는 다음 의견과 관련이 있다.

2. 스토리의 개연성
도리안의 3년 실종이 너무 개연성이 없다고 생각하는 의견이다. 1번 의견과 엮어서 이것 때문에 다니외 니코의 분량이 줄어들고 불필요한 도리안과 모니카의 분량이 더 생겼다는 것. 물론 적은 의견이다. 3년 실종 덕분에 전체 스토리의 클라이맥스가 훨신 더 고조되었다는 의견도 있다. 그러나 확실히 300편의 장편 웹툰이고 몇 년을 걸쳐서 완결되었으니 스토리가 질질 끌리는 요소는 적은 거는 아니다. 3년 실종도 확실히 개연성을 따지면 펜드래곤이 갑자기 그럴 이유가 거의 없고 [6] 게다가 갑자기 마법사 무리들이 와서 갑자기 여왕(다니) 의 위치를 알아내어 갑자기 잡아가는 것은 약간 이상한 부분도 있다. 산속에 다니가 있었을 때도 그렇고 또 소문이 퍼졌다고 한들 (나무꾼) 약간 어색하다.

또 책과 웹툰의 차이가 심하다 보니까[7]책만 읽은 사람은 설정을 잘못 이해하기도 하고 웹툰을 읽은 사람은 이런 사람들과 다투가도 한다.

6. 기타

  • 작가 미리암 보나스트레가 네이버 웹툰에서 마리오네타를 연재 중이다.
  • 몇몇 나라에서는 두 남매의 아름이 다르다고 한다.
