데뷔 이후 점차 주목받던 벤슨 분이 대중적 성공과 음악적 정체성을 동시에 확립한 대표곡으로 평가받는다.

발표 직후 미국을 포함한 전 세계 여러 국가에서 음원 차트 상위권에 진입하며 글로벌 히트를 기록했으며, 특유의 섬세하고도 폭발적인 감정 표현으로 비평가들과 리스너들 모두에게 강한 인상을 남겼다. '너무 아름다워서 잃을까 두려운 것들'을 주제로 한 이 곡은, 벤슨 분의 보컬과 감성, 서사적 작곡력이 집약된 대표작으로 꼽힌다.

2023년 9월 29일에 로스엔젤레스로 이주해 작업을 시작했고, 서로 다른 두 곡을 합쳐 곡을 완성했다.

  • 인터뷰에 따르면 본인이 새로 시작한 관계에서 영감을 받아 곡을 만들었다고 한다. 따라서 곡의 화자가 지칭하는 여성은 2023년부터 교제를 시작한 Maggie Thurmon(메기 서몬)이라는 설이 기정 사실로 받아들여지고 있다.
  • 발매하기 전 틱톡과 인스타그램에서 티저를 풀며 홍보 활동을 했는데 이 곡이 쓰인 영상들의 총 조회수가 1억 3천만을 넘겼다.
