"Azizam"은 페르시아어로 "내 사랑"을 뜻하며, 이는 프로듀서 일리야 살만자데의 페르시아계 혈통에서 영감을 받은 것이다.

그래미상을 네 번이나 수상한 일리야 살만자데는 몇 주 동안 이 곡에 대한 티저를 공개해 왔고, 3월 중순 인스타그램에 곡 일부를 공개하며 "앨범 완성. 곧 싱글 발매. 보시다시피 정말 기대돼요."라고 밝혔다.
