1. 개요

1977년 개교된 실용음악대학 Musicians Institute의 일본 분교다.

1995년 시부야 하시타케가 Musicians Institute 본교를 인수한 후 동년도에 일본에 Musicians Institute Japan를 각 도시[1]에 개교하였다.

2018년 이전부터 자매 결연을 맺어 온 학교법인 ESP와 함께 손을 잡고 세운 MI TOKYO가 2018년에 도쿄도로부터 전문학교로서 정식 인가를 받았다. 참고로 이 과정에서 오사카와 후쿠오카 분교는 각자 전문학교 ESP 엔터테인먼트 오사카/후쿠오카와 합병을 하였다.

학과와 교육과정은 할리우드 본교와 거의 비슷하며 교재도 똑같은 교재를 사용한다고 한다. 본교인 MI Hollywood로 연수/유학을 갈 수 있는 프로그램도 설치되어 있다.
