1. 개요
Easy Demon (이지 데몬/이데)
Geometry Dash의 데몬 난이도 분류 중 가장 하위 난이도로, '이지(Easy)'라는 접두사가 붙어 있지만 어디까지나 '데몬'이라는 최상위 난이도를 세분화한 것 중 하나이므로, 초보자들까지 쉽게 클리어할 수 있는 난이도는 아니다.
초보자 입장에서는 하나의 레벨에 어느 정도 시간을 투자해서, 반복적으로 연습하고 숙달해야 클리어가 가능한 난이도이며, 즉 하나의 레벨에 본격적으로 "도전해야 하는" 난이도라고 할 수 있다. 그래도 데몬 난이도 중 하한선에 해당하기 때문에, 데몬 난이도 중 가장 접근성이 높은 레벨들이며, 이러한 이유로 Geometry Dash를 본격적으로 시작하는 난이도대로 더러 여겨진다.
숙련자 입장에서는 오랫동안 고전할 정도로 너무 어렵지도, 지루해질 만큼 쉽지도 않은 딱 즐길 만큼의 어려움을 가지고 있어 Hard 및 Harder 난이도와 함께 별을 모으는 그라인더 유저들에게 가장 인기있는 난이도 중 하나이다. 단순 별을 모으는데에는 10☆의 이지 데몬 하나를 클리어하는 것보다 5☆ 레벨 두 개를 클리어하는 것이 훨씬 빠르지만, 데몬 난이도부터는 별 외로도 프로필 상의 데몬 카운트도 얻을 수 있기 때문.
GDDL 기준으로는 1 ~ 5 티어까지의 레벨들이 속하며, GDDL 1티어 데몬들은 실제 난이도가 데몬급에 미치지 못함에도 불구하고 데몬 레이팅을 받은, 소위 말하는 '꽁데'들이 위치해 있다. 이지 데몬 하위~중하위권에 속하는 2티어부터는 본격적으로 데몬이라 할 수 있는 레벨들의 시작이 되는 난이도이며, 3티어는 중위권, 4티어는 중상위~상위권, 5티어는 하위권 미디엄 데몬과 사실상 난이도 차이가 없는 최상위권[1]으로 분류된다.[2]
메인 레벨의 공식 데몬 레벨들은 하드 데몬 아이콘을 달고 있지만[3], 인게임상으로는 이지 데몬으로 취급[4]된다. 즉 이지 데몬은 공식 데몬들인 Clubstep, Theory of Everything 2 및 Deadlocked 가량의 난이도를 가진 데몬들이 위치해 있는 난이도라고 생각하면 쉽다. 위클리 데몬이나 건틀렛 데몬에서도 당연하겠지만 제일 많이 등장하는 난이도이다.
앞서 서술한 대로, 초보자가 섣불리 도전하기에는 어려우니 먼저 도전하기 전에 공식 스테이지와 데일리 레벨, 그 외 온라인 레벨로 연습을 많이 해둘 것을 추천한다. '꽁데'라고 불리는 최하위권 이지 데몬 일부를 제외하면 기본적으로 최소한 공식레벨 데몬은 모두 클리어할 실력이 되어야 이지 데몬을 어느 정도 수월하게 격파할 수 있다. 또한 최근에 나온 데몬들일수록 공식이나 건틀렛 등에서 볼 수 있는 일반적인 컨트롤형 레벨이 아닌, 특이한 기믹 패턴을 가지거나, 실제 난이도에 비해 첫 프랙티스 난이도가 매우 높아 반복 연습을 통해 레벨 자체를 익혀 나가야 하는 소위 '러닝형 레벨'들의 비중이 높아지기 때문에 이러한 신규 패턴들에 대한 적응도 필수적이다.
DeCode, GrindCore 같이 등장 당시에는 Hard Demon급[5] 이상으로 어렵다고 평가받은 레벨들도 다수 존재한다. 두 레벨은 GDDL 티어 기준 4티어 레벨들로 이지 데몬에서는 나름 상위권에 속하지만, 미디움도 아닌 '이지' 데몬으로 분류된 것처럼 오랜 기간에 걸친 난이도 인플레이션 역시 체감할 수 있는 지표이기도 하다.

[1] 2026년 3월 19일 기준, GDDL 5티어 데몬들은 총 534개 레벨인데, 이 중 Easy Demon이 143개(공식 데몬 포함), 391개는 미디엄 데몬으로 오히려 미디엄 데몬이 3/4 가량을 차지하고 있다. 특히 일부 5티어 이지 데몬이나 드물게 6티어를 달고 있는 이지 데몬들은 실제 난이도가 웬만한 중하위 ~ 중위권 미디엄 데몬들 뺨칠 난이도 이상인데, 레이팅 자체가 이지 데몬인 것에 영향을 받아 GDDL 투표에서 저평가된 사례가 많다.[2] 이러한 이유로 GDDL 분류 상 이지 데몬들은 2 ~ 4티어에 많이 분포해 있고, 1티어 혹은 5티어 이상은 상대적으로 수가 적은 편이다.[3] 데몬(Geometry Dash)문서에 서술되어 있듯, 2.0 버전까지는 데몬 난이도의 세부적인 구분이 없었고, 모두 공통적으로 현 하드 데몬 아이콘(정확히는 데몬 공통 아이콘)을 사용했던 것의 잔재이다.[4] 공식 데몬을 클리어 시, 프로필 상의 이지 데몬 클리어 카운트가 올라간다.[5] 1.9~2.0 당시에는 Easy Demon, Medium Demon과 같은 인게임 데몬 분류가 존재하지 않고, 모든 데몬이 Demon이라는 난이도 하나로 묶여 있었으므로, 이러한 분류는 인게임이 아닌 유저들이 임의적으로 분류했다.
